What is on-site waste compaction?

It is a mobile service. Our self-contained compaction truck comes to your facility and crushes the waste that is already inside your roll-off container, so the same container holds significantly more material before it needs to be hauled away.

Do I have to change dumpster companies to use it?

Accepted Answer

No. Compaction works on the container you already have. If you would rather hold the whole account with us we can handle roll-off service and compaction together, but it is not a requirement to get started.

How much of my waste bill is actually the haul?

On most commercial accounts the pull charge and the disposal fee per trip are the largest recurring line items, not the monthly container rental. That is why cutting the number of trips moves the bill more than negotiating the rental rate does.

How much space does compaction actually recover?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the material, which is why we publish the whole range instead of one number. Cardboard, packaging and recyclables give back sixty to seventy percent of their volume. Compost and organics give back fifty to sixty. Construction debris, wood, pallets and mixed metals give back forty to fifty. A typical mixed commercial container lands in the middle, and we plan schedules around a conservative three to one — three container-loads of loose waste into one haul-off, which is what two crushes between pulls reliably delivers.

What happens during the free demo?

We come to your facility, look at your container and your material, and compact it while you watch. It takes about ten minutes. There is no cost and no obligation, and you can see the before and after on your own waste rather than in a photograph. If your material or your volume is not a good fit for compaction, we will tell you that on the spot.

What dumpster sizes do you offer?

20, 30 and 40 yard roll-off containers, matched to your volume, material and site access. Every size can run with on-site compaction.

Question 8

Is compaction included with dumpster service?

Accepted Answer

On our combined service, yes — container, pulls and compaction on one invoice. If you already have a container from someone else, compaction is available on its own.
